There’s a phrase that says that “God won’t give you more than you can handle.” So I guess I can handle it. There’s even a verse in Corinthians that supports it. I’ve had a ton of adversity over the past year and I’m still looking for my way out. While my apartment renovation has been on hold for almost 2 months, there is now a potential mold issue going on in my unit from a steam pipe bursting a few weeks ago. Of course we now cannot start back up again until the remediation is done. So we’re still stopped.

I can handle it, I say.

And I am proud to say that I got my documentation to my long-time accountant in mid-February and not only did I file super early, I got my first refund in many years. I stopped by my new apartment to pick up my mail, since my accountant sent my return there to be signed. Also in my mail was an audit review letter from New York State about this year’s taxes, as well as a request for Hazard insurance from my mortgage lender even though I was told I didn’t need it.

Oy.

I can handle it, I say.

Today is a gorgeous sunny day. There are blue skies without a cloud in sight. I must remain positive. And I know there’s wine in my future. In the meantime, here are my weekly lists. I could certainly use a few cheerleaders, and of course feel free to add your own Gratitudes, Celebrations and Desires below. Off we go!

GRATITUDES
1. Spring in NYC and being able to have my windows open
2. Catering leftovers
3. Coffee and ice cream
4. A snuggly kitty
5. Moving assistance from friends and surprisingly enough, a few of my counseling couples!

CELEBRATIONS
1. Finishing the first draft of the finances chapter of my pre-marital counseling book and sharing it with my writing group over a super fun brunch!
2. Booking two more counseling couples this week
3. Being caught up on all of my administrative work
4. Meditating 5 days this week
5. Continuing to speak my truth – I just need to be more discerning about when I speak it.

DESIRES
1. Movement on my apartment renovation
2. Releasing all of the current aches and pains in my body
3. Returning to a regular yoga practice
4. Drinking more water
5. A spotless kitchen

Okay, that’s it. I’ve got wine calling! Here’s to handling it, and having a very fulfilling week.
