Desire Wednesday 10.19.22 - Being Consistent

I’ve had a bit of time lately to consider where I am in my business. I met with a mentor from SCORE to talk about marketing and business planning. He really said a whole bunch of stuff I already knew - including the suggestion of being consistent. During the pandemic, I created a content calendar for social media and blogging. While we were in lock-down it was easy to be consistent because my schedule was largely open. Now that I am busier, it’s harder to meet some of these deadlines.

There is something so powerful about consistency. It’s about building ritual, it’s being accountable and it’s just plain showing up. There are certainly negative connotations around steadiness and dependability that can border on expected and boring. However, if you are constantly being there for your partner or your friends there’s amazing trust that’s built and connection is deepened.

For my business I need to think the same things. I need to know who I am and consistently show up for my couples and colleagues in the industry. I need to share what I know, be an excellent guide and teammate. Yes, usually we know what we need to do, but we need the stamina to keep it up.

There’s always a bit of reflection every step of the way. Knowing what others need and how I can be helpful, but also how to keep my energy up so I can be consistent. Since I am struggling a bit here - both with my content calendar, as well as the cleaning calendar I also created during the prime months of COVID - I continue to consider what’s working and what’s not. What’s good, and what can be better. Welcome to my desires, gratitudes and celebrations! Want to join me? Awesome. The comment section is always open. Let’s go!
