Gratituesday 7.17.18 - Stay Active

Gratituesday-2-1.png

Lots to do and I'm doing my best to stay productive. Stay active. However the only thing I am really dragging my feet on is my involvement in my community. There is constant talk about the world (and our country) being a scary place. However, I've been stuck in complacency for so long. Truth is I need to be better informed and then I need to take a stand.

When I was in grad school in 2007, I started truly tunneling deep into starting over and for the first time in a long time I was selfish. In all honesty, I've never really come out of the cocoon. It's much easier to turn off the news and be ignorant. However as laws and legislation affect me, I need to be aware. I must stay active. I donate and march, but I can do so much more. We need to fight for what's right. There's nothing better to counteract the crappy stuff than reflecting on what's good. So, let's start with those. Here are my weekly lists.

GRATITUDES

1. Air conditioning

2. Beautiful sunsets

3. Coffee & wine

4. Time with family & friends

5. Referrals from my officiant circle and other NYC wedding pros!

CELEBRATIONS

1. Making delicious homemade gnocchi with my Dad

2. Three new counseling inquiries

3. Regular Spanish lessons on Duolingo

4. Better morning routine including making my bed, meditating and washing

5. More dedication to reading

DESIRES

1. Better leadership for our country and for our current President to shut his mouth since every time he speaks, he sounds like a fucking idiot

2. Plans for fun stuff/artist dates on my days off

3. To send out a July newsletter this week

4. To drink more water

5. To go into contract on the Harlem apartment this week. Even though Street Easy lists the unit as "In Contract," I'm not.

Okay folks, that's it. Please join in the positivity below. I'd gladly take a cheerleader, some guidance or a fellow list sharer! Here's to a fulfilling week ahead.
