Gratituesday 5.3.22 - My Body, My Choice

There have been so many advancements made over the last few years. But with the impending overturn of Roe v. Wade, it feels like we’re going backwards. I am fully in the My Body, My Choice camp. If you don’t want to get an abortion, don’t get one. But all women should have a choice. And sure, you can say the same about the government regulating other things…like guns. Sure, it’s your gun, the government shouldn’t be able to take it away. However, your gun can kill another person. And of course, you may think the same about an unborn child, however, we are talking about our BODIES! And I’m sorry the only person who should be able to have full control over my body is ME. If a women is not ready to become a mother, or doesn’t want to have another child, can’t afford to raise a child or is the victim of rape, then she should be able to CHOOSE not to have a child.

If it’s so easy to overturn this decision, I can only imagine what will come next. I donated to a bunch of women’s organizations today, and I’m checking the schedules to march and protest. I’ve seen a lot of rage and disappointment today. It’s important to counter that with a bit of good. Care to join me in my weekly lists? Cool. I’m happy to go first. The comment section below is always open to share, question or add your OWN lists. Off we go.
