Gratituesday 7.9.24 - Gratitude Practice

In one of today’s counseling sessions, I encouraged a couple to offer 3 gratitudes to each other every day. There are so many benefits to a gratitude practice. I was going to say - needless to say. But I don’t think it’s so expected. Therefore, I thought I would take a moment to research the why. Of the list of 7 benefits from this list, these are the two that resonated the most.

Gratitude enhances empathy and reduces aggression.

Grateful people sleep better.

I find that thinking of the good - or things I am grateful for counteracts the negativity. If I am in a funk, it tends to get it me out of it. I would never had thought that it had anything to do with empathy. Similarly, with a gratitude practice right before bed, you may sleep better and longer. I mean, that’s awesome.

So without further ado, here are my weekly lists. The comment section is always open for you to add your own. Let’s go!
