Gratituesday 8.9.22 - Miracle Mornings
For the past 2 weeks, I’ve created miracle mornings to start my day. In my book club we are reading Hal Elrod’s Miracle Morning. While the actions attached may not be miraculous, they are indeed positive. The basic gist of the book is that in order to make changes in your life, you need to work on personal development. So from personal experience, Elrod began a daily practice of Silence, Affirmation, Visualization, Exercise, Reading and Scribing. The Life SAVERS he calls them. He shared them with others, and they found major positive effects.
I’ve been feeling a little static lately. In fact, I’ve been looking for something, a ritual to shake things up. We’ve read a number of self-help and business books that offered some new habits, but few have stuck. The Miracle Morning has variety and starting to move some things around. When I started I was faithful to the order and did each of the 6 tasks for 10 minutes each. In the current chapter of the book, Hal Elrod talk about making it your own. So I played with moving Exercise to the end or combining Silence and Affirmations. I’ve also condensed each of the tasks to 3 minutes each to see if I got anything out of them. The reading for 3 minutes was rather silly, but everything else worked.
I love that I start my miracle mornings with activity and positivity, quiet and new ideas. Of course, this is just ripe with reflection. So without further ado, here are my Weekly Lists. Care to join me? The comment section is always open to question, encourage or share your own lists. Off we go!
