Gratituesday 7.27.21- Consider the Good

gratituesday-consider-the-good-a-more-perfect-union.png

I ask my counseling couples about their strongest beliefs about themselves and the world. Usually the personal thoughts are pretty positive. However their beliefs about the world…those are rather grim. Truthfully, we are in a challenging time. Honestly, all times are challenging - but it doesn't help that there's a global pandemic and an extreme political divide. Therefore it’s important to consider the good. Want to join me in creating your Weekly Lists? Awesome. I’m happy to go first!

Gratitudes

  1. My parents for driving me to out of town weddings

  2. Cold brew coffee & white wine

  3. Being able to stream TV shows

  4. My tower fan (and AC unit on really hot days)

  5. Having a washing machine and dryer in my apartment

Victories

  1. Finally cleaning my floors while I was on hold FOREVER to speak with a Delta rep. - I wound up waiting an hour longer than what was quoted and eventually hung up. Sigh.

  2. Booking two new wedding couples, and a new counseling couple this week

  3. Speaking up for myself with a doctor that just was not listening

  4. Getting back on-track with my cleaning and content calendar

  5. Creating delicious meals from simple ingredients

Desires

  1. A mani/pedi

  2. And I guess a massage while I’m thinking of self-care

  3. To do less multi-tasking - even though I’m *really* good at it!

  4. To renew my library card

  5. To find new physical activities to replace the online yoga classes I no longer teach

That’s it folks. Now’s your turn. The comment section is always open below if you want to send some encouragement or add your own lists. Let’s go!
