Victory Thursday 1.20.22 - Inspiration

Winter is hard for many people. At least for me, I lack inspiration. We’ve hit a lull after the holiday season. In NYC, it’s cold and rainy, and for the most part my calendar is light. Then you add a pandemic in there and there’s not much to look forward to. The open calendar leads to a bit of procrastination. I tend to ask myself, “Why do something now, when I have to time to do it tomorrow?” And in turn, things don’t get done.

In yesterday’s book club meeting on Zoom, we were asked to change our displayed names and include our inspiration level from 1 to 10. I rated myself a 7. I am getting things done, but I am not hugely inspired. It’s easy to dwell on the crappy things. As I suggest to my counseling couples, can we counterbalance the negativity with an equal amount of POSITIVITY? It’s easy to encourage others, but why is it so difficult to do myself?

This usually leads to some reflection and voila, my weekly lists get written. Care to join me? Awesome. Let’s journey down the path of inspiration together. The comment section below is always open to share. Let’s go!
