The Ceremony Reading, Alain de Botton [video]
As a wedding officiant, I work with couples to create unique wedding ceremonies. One of my current wedding couples is a pair of writers who are very picky about how certain ideas are expressed in their ceremony. I mean who can blame them? They're writers!
Rites of Passage - Gennep to Brenner
I am currently reading 'Women's Rites of Passage' by Abigail Brenner. As I prepare for my upcoming Zen Bride workshop, I want to consider these transitions from the women's perspective. What's a Rite of Passage, you may ask?

Vendors I Love: TAYLOR LAUREN BARKER PHOTOGRAPHY
I took an amazingly circuitous route to get to where I am. But looking back, it makes incredible sense. The same goes for the photographer I focus on today. I met Taylor at a wedding I officiated in the summer of 2015 in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. While it’s difficult to connect at events since we’re um, well…working, it was clear that Taylor and I had similar processes. While I tell stories with ritual and ceremony, she tells it through light and images. Without further ado, I am delighted to introduce Photojournalist and Creative Storyteller, TAYLOR LAUREN BARKER

A Little Bit EACH day
In an effort to keep my small apartment clean, I constantly read articles with tips that always suggest doing a little bit every day. Taking care of incoming mail as you enter your home so it doesn't clutter, sweeping and mopping on a certain day each week and cleaning all dishes in the kitchen sink before you go to sleep. But why not think the same way with our relationships?
