Gratituesday 12.27.22 - Ending the Year Soft
I cannot believe the year is almost over. I saw something on social media about rather than finishing the year HARD or with POWER that we should end the year SOFT. With relaxation and rest. With intention and ease. I’m not going to lie, that will be a challenge!

Gratituesday 12.13.22 - I Am Not Invincible
There’s that phrase that says that God will not give you more than you can handle. I think on it when I have lots on my plate or I am going through a series of challenges. Maybe I’m not invincible, but it usually motivates me to keep on going. However, curiosity got the better of me, and I did a little bit of research on the phrase.
Vendors I Love: MORTON STREET EVENTS
I met Anita working for another planner, and I loved her positivity and the way she organized all of the details. So of course, I was so excited when she decided to go out on her own. Without further ado, here’s my interview with Anita Pandian from MORTON STREET EVENTS!

Gratituesday 11.8.22 - Going, Going, Gone
Being sick sucks. I started feeling the ick last Thursday and it’s gone from a scratchy throat to congestion to a cough. And of course, I rested a bit and then I did what I usually do - I push through it. My body just couldn’t take my long day yesterday - and my voice started going, going, and it’s GONE today.
Vendors I Love: DJ DAVID MEDINA
I met David this past season on a super fun wedding in Brooklyn. He just exudes a feeling of confidence and experience. I cannot wait to work with David again. Without further ado, I’m proud to introduce DJ DAVID MEDINA!
Vendors I Love: LOLI EVENTS
I met Rachel at an industry event years ago and immediately loved her energy. We finally got to work together this season, and I saw her in action. Rachel (and her team!) had a quiet confidence. They were like little ninjas - making sure that everything was in place and on schedule with little fanfare. I am beyond excited to share a little light on RACHEL URBAN from LOLI EVENTS.

Desire Wednesday 10.19.22 - Being Consistent
I’ve had a bit of time lately to consider where I am in my business. I met with a mentor from SCORE to talk about marketing and business planning. He really said a whole bunch of stuff I already knew - including the suggestion of being consistent.
Gratituesday 10.11.22 - The Power of Gratitude
I am currently reading ‘Atlas of the Heart’ by Brené Brown. And if you are one of my current counseling couples, you certainly know that because I mention it in our sessions! Today I listened to the chapter on ‘Places We Go When Life is Good.’ Since it’s Gratituesday, I thought I’d share the power of GRATITUDE.
Gratituesday 10.4.22 - Atonement
The holiday of Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement - starts tonight and it’s considered the most important holiday in the Jewish faith. I’m a more cultural, rather than practicing Jew. I don’t go to synagogue. however for Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur I do abstain from working and fast as I aim for some “good Jew” points.
Wedding Affirmations to Keep You Calm
I hear over and over again from brides and grooms that wedding planning can be stressful or overwhelming. Using affirmations is certainly one way to counterbalance that negativity and remind yourselves what the heck you are doing it all for.
Gratituesday 8.23.22 - Reflect and Dream
I continue to do a lot of reading, and thankfully I have space in my life to reflect and dream. This makes a ripe environment to figure out what I want, but also take stock of all of the good things. Welcome back to my weekly lists. The comment section is always open to question, encourage and share your own lists. Off we go!
Wedding Yoga: THE CROWN CHAKRA
The crown chakra is considered to be the top of the chakra ladder. It connects you to the universe in the same way that the root chakra connects you to the Earth. Located at the top of the head, the crown chakra gives us access to higher states of consciousness as we open ourselves to what is beyond our personal preoccupations and visions. While most of the chakras are very physical, this one is super spiritual and ethereal.
Gratituesday 8.9.22 - Miracle Mornings
For the past 2 weeks, I’ve created miracle mornings to start my day. In my book club we are reading Hal Elrod’s Miracle Morning. The basic gist of the book is that in order to make changes in your life, you need to work on personal development. Elrod began a daily practice of Silence, Affirmation, Visualization, Exercise, Reading and Scribing.
The Power of Partnership
The word partnership is used in so many ways in our world. We talk of partners for our businesses or projects, but what about at home? Can we tap into the power of partnership to strengthen our romantic relationships?
Gratituesday 7.26.22 - The 12-Hour Walk
Last Tuesday I did a 12-Hour Walk. Colin O’Brady just wrote a book called The 12-Hour Walk and was looking for some people to try it out. The idea is to turn your devices off, take a solo walk and be alone in your thoughts. Of course, all of this reflection is great for my weekly lists.
Gratituesday 7.12.22 - Nothing to Complain About
WhenI speak to my dad and asked how he is, he replies, “Nothing to complain about.” At first I found it a little odd, since it was new, but then I grew to love the intentionality of it all. We are a society of complainers. While I try to be positive and Zen, I can switch to ‘complaining’ as a default.
