Gratituesday 3.9.21 - Long Day Gratitudes
I am in the middle of a long day. I should have been more mindful about my energy level and my calendar, and my desire to say ‘yes.’ So, my brain is not functioning at its optimal capacity. I don’t have wise words to share this week, but I DO have my Weekly Lists. So here they are. Care to join me?
Wedding Yoga: Partner Yoga on Your Wedding Day
Imagine the morning of your wedding. There may be butterflies in your belly based on the excitment or stress of the day ahead. So you grab your partner, and jump on your yoga mats. After an hour of breathing deeply, and moving with intention, you give each other a kiss and say farewell as you start getting ready. How cool is that?

Gratituesday 2.23.21 - Just Vent, Just Listen
This afternoon I had another no-show for an intro call with a colleague. So I called my mother because I just needed to vent. I am really trying to complain less, however we need to let our disappointments go. So it’s nice from time to time, to just share without an expectation of solving any problems. Just vent and let it go.
Zen Weddings: ENVISION YOUR WEDDING DAY
When I meet with brides & grooms to talk about their wedding ceremony, I ask them to describe their wedding day. While it’s super helpful for me, it’s even more powerful for my couples. It truly allows them to create the full day they want.
Gratituesday 2.16.21 - Call to Action
So, there’s a feral cat that’s been hanging in the courtyard behind my apartment building for the last few days SCREAMING! I’m not clear if it’s claiming its territory or calling for help. It’s a clear call to action. I just have no idea what the action should be.
Guest Post: Consulting a Divorce Coach
I viscerally remember the moment I found out my husband was having an affair. I remember doubling over from the shock of it. And I remember shakily calling my parents and sharing the heartbreaking news with them: I had no idea how, but I was going to have to get a divorce.

Vendors I Love: EMPANADAMN
I met Brent a few years ago. While he’s a quiet guy, his music speaks volumes. He tends to really take in the room and play the PERFECT song, at the perfect time. I’ve seen it at fashion shows, in Zoom meetings, and when people just need to get on the dance floor and let loose! I am beyond thrilled to shine a little light on Brent Fierro of EMPANADAMN.

I met Cara Schmidt at a Tuesdays Together meeting in January 2018. In fact, it was the first meeting for both us. During the networking time before the program began, we each spoke about our businesses, and I already felt my community expanding. I immediately appreciated Cara’s journey and passion for flowers. Without further ado, I’d love to introduce you to Cara from THREE NOTCH FLORALS!

Gratituesday 1.26.21 - Normalcy & Forgiveness
When the world started shutting down last March, there was a pause in a sense of normalcy. In November, I realized that I still needed to I update my driver’s license, however I could not get an appointment until today. Since I was headed down to the Penn Station area, I planned a day. A bit of normalcy.

Gratituesday 1.19.21 - A New Day
I really hate how divided we are, and I truly do not understand how anyone could have supported the current President. However, with the changing of the guard, I am optimistic. With Kamala Harris, we have lots of firsts. First woman, first Black and first South Asian VP. It does feel like a new day dawning.
Premarital Counseling: TIME SPENT TOGETHER & SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
Time Spent Together and Social Activities is one of the Big Issue topics I cover in premarital counseling. Sometimes it comes up as we discuss Parenting and Child raising or Intimacy and Sex. In 2 recent sessions, it was important enough to to talk about on its own.
Gratituesday 1.12.21 - Accountability
Accountability has been on my mind recently. After the insurrection at the US Capitol last week, many politicians who supported the president or who let it happen just want everyone to move forward. They’re calling for unity. And I’m calling for accountability.
Unconditional Support
I had an a-ha moment last year when I realized that sometimes when I give there’s an expectation that I need to receive something. So, it got me thinking about unconditional support. Can I just give without the need to get back?

The heart chakra, or anahata, is one of the 7 chakras or energy centers that run up the central axis of the body. We practice heart openers in yoga as a gateway to our vulnerabilities. So grab a friend, your partner or your spouse and let’s get vulnerable together!
