Gratituesday 3.8.22 - Pause for Gratitude
I have an extremely busy week this week. I could have easily avoided my weekly lists, however usually when things get crazy, it’s helpful to remember the good. Care to join me? Awesome! I’m happy to go first. The comment section below is always open to share. Off we go!
Gratituesday 2.22.22 - Connection & Numbers
When I saw TWO 2 heavy dates in Februay, I thought the inquiries for wedding would just flow in. For the most part things were quiet. Until 2 weeks ago when one of my 2020 couples resurfaced. The 2020 bride was into numerology and wanted to see if I was available on 2/22/22. Sure am, I said!
Gratituesday 2.15.22 - Return to Celebration
My weekly lists used to be gratitudes, celebrations and desires. Then for some reason, I changed the celebrations to VICTORIES. For the life of me I didn’t remember why I did it, but today I bring it back. This of course brings lots of reflection, and then my Weekly Lists basically write themselves. Care to join me?
Gratituesday 2.1.22 - Year of the Tiger
The Lunar New Year is seen as a time of reunion and rebirth. So, it’s another chance to bring luck, vitality and happiness into the coming year. And that of course, means a little reflection and my weekly lists. Want to join me? The comment section is always open to share. Let’s go!
Victory Thursday 1.20.22 - Inspiration
Winter is hard for many people. At least for me, I lack inspiration. In yesterday’s book club meeting on Zoom, we were asked to change our displayed names and include our inspiration level from 1 to 10. I rated myself a 7. I am getting things done, but I am not hugely inspired.
Gratituesday 1.4.22 - Isolation
It feels like everyone has covid right now. Okay, not everyone, but if I was a betting woman, I’d put money on the fact that everyone I know knows at least 1 person with covid right now. I personally know 3. That means that people are quarantining and/or in isolation. And isolation is so damaging as we as a society crave socialization.
Desire Wednesday 12.15.21 - Deepening Connection
I think many of us have been in this weird limbo for a while now. Staying to ourselves and not deepening relationships. I avoid stepping out of my little bubble and maybe I use the ‘covid excuse’ a little too much. So, 2022 will be the year of Deepening Connection. Perhaps meeting new people, and of course, reconnecting with folks I already know - EVERY DAY.
Desire Wednesday 11.17.21 - Under a Fall Tree
In today’s meditation I guided us into an open field and we took a walk to a small hill and sat underneath a colorful fall tree. We felt the sun on our skin and breathed in the crispy clean air. Bring on the reflection!
Desire Wednesday 10.27.21 - Time for Rest
I’m tired. I had plans to attend an alumni event this evening and I thought about taking a quick nap and then powering through it. I was looking forward to attending, but my body and mind are screaming REST.
Victory Thursday 10.14.21 - Lead with Success!
It’s been over a year since I’ve lead with my successes. I have been celebrating Gratituesday primarily so if I missed a Tuesday, I tended to just skip the week. So welcome back to Victory Thursday. I welcome you to join in the fun.
Gratituesday 9.21.21 - Crazy, Crazy Week!
But I love that the only break I have in my week aligns with Gratituesday! Let’s take a moment to reflect and remember the good and plan for the future. Welcome to my weekly lists.
Desire Wednesday 9.8.21 - Choices and Trade-offs
Every September my nose starts running, and my mouth gets itchy. I forget that I have fall allergies every year and think I am sick. Of course, in this time of COVID, I think that even though I’ve been careful, I finally caught the virus. It’s just seasonal allergies, folks. Once the first frost hits, it all goes away!
Gratituesday 8.17.21- Water, water, everywhere!
I love being on the water or by the water. There’s something about boating or being on the beach that is so calming. And then there is my plumbing issue that dampens the positivity!
Desire Wednesday 8.11.21 - Curveballs
I’ve been thrown a lot of curve balls lately. It would be easy for me to just power down. However I’ve decided that the best way through a problem is right through. Well, that and tons of direct communication, being open to creative solutions and releasing perfection.
Gratituesday 7.27.21- Consider the Good
I ask my counseling couples about their strongest beliefs about themselves and the world. Usually the personal thoughts are pretty positive. However, their beliefs about the world…those are rather grim. Therefore, it’s important to consider the good.
Gratituesday 6.29.21 - Closing Doors, Opening Doors
I was going to title this post, The End of an Era, but that felt a little much. There are lots of endings right now, but of an ERA? I don’t think so. At least not until COVID is officially behind us. However that doesn’t mean there isn’t a ton of activity. Closing doors and opening doors.
Gratituesday 5.25.21 - Mind Body Connection
My business practice is centered the holistic connection between the body, mind and soul. However, the integration is not complete. My yoga practice encompasses all 3, but the officiating and counseling do not.
Gratituesday 4.27.21 - Releasing Expectation
I was always a great yoga teacher for beginners, because I mastered the beginner poses. Things shifted when I realized that I could teach things I couldn’t do. I was able to release the expectation of my teaching practice and challenge my students in new and different ways. It should come as no surprise that it’s not always possible to practice what you preach.
Gratituesday 4.13.21 - Peace and Quiet
New York City is loud! When the city went into lock down last March, it was so strange to see images of usually busy locations totally empty. There was peace and quiet, and it was disconcerting. A year later, the city is back to its regular bustle. People are out and about, and it’s noisy again!
Gratituesday 3.16.21 - Ready for Spring!
After a LONG year, we’ve also had a tough winter. I can finally feel a change in the air, but gosh, I am ready for Spring! There is a sense of possibility and hope at the end of Winter. However after the dumpster fire that was 2020, I think we can all use some hope and possibly, don’t you?
