Wedding Affirmations to Keep You Calm
I hear over and over again from brides and grooms that wedding planning can be stressful or overwhelming. Using affirmations is certainly one way to counterbalance that negativity and remind yourselves what the heck you are doing it all for.

Gratituesday 8.23.22 - Reflect and Dream
I continue to do a lot of reading, and thankfully I have space in my life to reflect and dream. This makes a ripe environment to figure out what I want, but also take stock of all of the good things. Welcome back to my weekly lists. The comment section is always open to question, encourage and share your own lists. Off we go!

Wedding Yoga: THE CROWN CHAKRA
The crown chakra is considered to be the top of the chakra ladder. It connects you to the universe in the same way that the root chakra connects you to the Earth. Located at the top of the head, the crown chakra gives us access to higher states of consciousness as we open ourselves to what is beyond our personal preoccupations and visions. While most of the chakras are very physical, this one is super spiritual and ethereal.

Gratituesday 8.9.22 - Miracle Mornings
For the past 2 weeks, I’ve created miracle mornings to start my day. In my book club we are reading Hal Elrod’s Miracle Morning. The basic gist of the book is that in order to make changes in your life, you need to work on personal development. Elrod began a daily practice of Silence, Affirmation, Visualization, Exercise, Reading and Scribing.

The Power of Partnership
The word partnership is used in so many ways in our world. We talk of partners for our businesses or projects, but what about at home? Can we tap into the power of partnership to strengthen our romantic relationships?

Gratituesday 7.26.22 - The 12-Hour Walk
Last Tuesday I did a 12-Hour Walk. Colin O’Brady just wrote a book called The 12-Hour Walk and was looking for some people to try it out. The idea is to turn your devices off, take a solo walk and be alone in your thoughts. Of course, all of this reflection is great for my weekly lists.

Gratituesday 7.12.22 - Nothing to Complain About
WhenI speak to my dad and asked how he is, he replies, “Nothing to complain about.” At first I found it a little odd, since it was new, but then I grew to love the intentionality of it all. We are a society of complainers. While I try to be positive and Zen, I can switch to ‘complaining’ as a default.

8 Important Things to Remember Before Your Wedding Ceremony
While a lot of thought and planning goes into the wedding reception, the wedding ceremony is usually the first thing on your timeline. To make sure it all runs smoothly, don’t forget these 8 things as you plan your wedding ceremony.

Gratituesday 6.21.22 - In the Know
I am a very curious person, and in my youth I needed to know EVERYTHING. As I’ve matured, I’ve realized that no, I really don’t. So now it’s a balance…deciding when it’s important to have and share information, and when it’s not.

Vendors I Love: BRI JOHNSON WEDDINGS
I met Bri a few months ago when one of her couples traveling from Germany was looking for an officiant. Bri was just so warm and thoughtful. She guided the couple and made them feel comfortable and special. Without further ado, I’m beyond excited to shine a little light onto BRI JOHNSON!

Desire Wednesday 5.25.22 - Work Smarter, Not Harder
Over the last few months I’ve read a four new books with my business book club. Quite a few of them have encouraged positive change and action. Truly all of this is an attempt to work smarter, not harder.

Gratituesday 5.3.22 - My Body, My Choice
There have been so many advancements made over the last few years. But with the impending overturn of Roe v. Wade, it feels like we’re going backwards. I’ve seen a lot of rage and disappointment today. It’s important to counter that with a bit of good. Care to join me in my weekly lists?

Emotional Intimacy in Your Relationship
In PM Counseling, I start the intimacy conversation talking about the EMOTIONAL side. Couples that desire a return of closeness or want to deepen their emotional intimacy, can do so by slowing down and dedicating time and energy to doing things together.

Vendors I Love: PETALS BY DANI
I met Dani attending a few WIPA meetings in New York. She was always so welcoming and friendly. However, once I started following her on Instagram, I saw how amazing talented she is. Dani’s strong sense of color and design were apparent in all of her work. Without further ado, I am excited to give some well-deserved attention to Dani Chou of PETALS BY DANI!

Gratituesday 4.5.22 - Behind Schedule
I am not really sure where the day has gone. I felt behind most of the day, and had the feeling of playing catch up. It was important for me to reflect and create my weekly lists. A bit of gratitude, celebration and desires for the future. Care to join me? The comment section is always open to question, encourage or share your OWN list. Let’s go!

I met Monica as we talked about an upcoming fall wedding. As I got to know her, and saw the way she and Allyson worked, I knew that we shared similar thoughts about what we value in weddings. Without further ado, I’m so excited to shine a little light on Monica O’Connor and Allyson Horn of ARCH EVENTS!

Gratituesday 2.22.22 - Connection & Numbers
When I saw TWO 2 heavy dates in Februay, I thought the inquiries for wedding would just flow in. For the most part things were quiet. Until 2 weeks ago when one of my 2020 couples resurfaced. The 2020 bride was into numerology and wanted to see if I was available on 2/22/22. Sure am, I said!

Guest Post: The Case for Embracing Self-Care
My life was missing a key leavening agent since the start of COVID. I’d been living devoid of FUN, especially during the cold weather. As a recovering Type-A personality who loves being outdoors in warm weather, it was often easier to just work through winter. So, I decided to purposefully dedicate myself to HAVE MORE FUN in 2022, especially right away.
